If J. Brown could, he would alter how the industry views young musicians like himself. He is cognizant that he as well as others deserve greater praise, but they do not. He believes that he deserves better and that fewer skilled musicians frequently overshadow his abilities.
California is where J. Brown was born and raised. The oldies and classic old school hip hop were magnificent to his ears when he was growing up. He was introduced to and touched by that, which is what led him to fall in love with music. He hasn't been California in a while and is unaware of the state's current music scene, but he would like to return to the place where his upbringing began.
