Majesty’s Mission: From Canton’s Grit to Hip-Hop’s Frontlines

Hailing from Canton, Ohio, emerging musician, Majesty represents a community that is as competitive as it is talented. “We are pretty competitive and it’s kind of crabs in a barrel, but it’s full of talent,” he explains. Situated not far from Cleveland, Canton has a dark and moody atmosphere—an environment Majesty describes with a raw honesty that mirrors his music. “Think of the haunting sounds of early
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony mixed with East Coast and Detroit influences,” he adds, painting a sonic picture of the place that shaped him.

Majesty is clear about his mission in music: “My main goal in my music career is to put lyricism to the forefront. Have a message and make a living. And build inner city communities up successfully.” His vision balances artistry with purpose, blending the pursuit of lyrical excellence with a desire to uplift underserved communities.

When asked what he would change about the music industry, Majesty is straightforward. “If I could change one thing in the music industry it would be royalty splits between labels and artists.” In an era where artists are increasingly vocal about equity and fair compensation, Majesty’s stance reflects a broader movement for justice within the creative economy. With a grounded sense of self and a powerful artistic drive, Majesty continues to carve out a space for both his voice and his values.
