NEXTLEVEL: The Musician Rising Through the Struggles with Faith, Focus, and Fire

In the ever-evolving world of music, staying true to oneself while navigating challenges is no easy task. For independent artist NEXTLEVEL, the journey has been anything but smooth — yet he remains grounded in faith and driven by
purpose. “Honestly, I’ve failed several times in my journey with music,” NEXTLEVEL shares. “I faced many challenges and I overcame them with God, and Just being focused on the next level. That’s why I changed my name. I just got really determined.” That unwavering focus is what sets him apart. His transformation—both in mindset and moniker—speaks to a deeper evolution, one fueled by resilience and spiritual alignment.

When it comes to his creative process, NEXTLEVEL immerses himself entirely in the work. “A typical day when working on a new project for me is that I honestly might wake up at the studio—and stay there without eating. It really gets crazy. I just get super locked in. I’ll probably make five to six songs that day. Wake up at 11, cook up until 3 to 5, and then come back and spend the night. I literally won’t leave. I like to watch movies for inspiration too.” This kind of tunnel vision is not just about productivity—it’s about passion. For NEXTLEVEL, music is more than a profession; it’s a calling.

When asked what advice he would offer to other artists trying to navigate the industry, his response is both practical and heartfelt: “I’d say, honestly, just invest in promotion. I didn’t realize how important marketing was. And focus on perfecting your craft. You should love your process. It should feel like you. Come pure. But yeah, invest in marketing. The more people listening, the better.” NEXTLEVEL’s journey is far from over, but his perspective offers a powerful reminder: success isn’t just about talent—it’s about persistence, purpose, and putting in the work when no one is watching.
