Packt Jackson: A Vision for the Future of Music from Pittsview, Alabama

Packt Jackson
, an artist from Pittsview, Alabama, offers a unique perspective on the music scene in his hometown and the surrounding Tri-City area. Known for its competitive atmosphere, this region encompasses Phenix City, Alabama, and Columbus, Georgia—cities teeming with raw talent. Packt Jackson speaks to the untapped potential in these areas, observing that while many artists are incredibly skilled, more exposure and support are needed.
“Most of it is more competitive, but we have some great talent in the Phenix City, AL, and Columbus, GA area,” Packt Jackson shares. “A lot of artists are dope with their craft, just need more people to tap in. I see where I’m from, more artists would actually blow if everyone wouldn’t be in the streets as much.”

For Packt Jackson, the primary goal of his music career goes beyond personal success—it is about taking care of his community. He stresses the importance of supporting the people around him, stating that true leadership and respect come from this responsibility. “You’re not a boss or a gangster until you’re doing that,” he says. “That’s my main focus at the moment.”

When asked about potential changes he would make to the music industry, Packt Jackson does not hold back. He identifies a disturbing trend of crime and senseless violence that has become all too common. He calls for a return to “get money” music—songs that inspire listeners to hustle and make progress, whether they are working a job or navigating the streets. “We need that get money music back,” he insists. “Not too much still, even though that’s what’s going on these days, but something you can run it up to while you’re on the clock or getting it in on the block. Ya feel me?” Through his music and his words, Packt Jackson envisions a future where artists in the Tri-City area—and beyond—can thrive without the distractions of street life. His mission is clear: to lead by example and bring a positive change to both his community and the music industry as a whole.
