In the world of music, the journey to success is often paved with challenges that test an artist’s confidence and perseverance. Realfly Dp, an emerging talent in the music industry, opens up about the struggles he faces daily, his creative process, and the advice he offers to fellow up-and-coming artists. He shares, “I would have to say the biggest challenge I face daily in my career is self-doubt. There is always that feeling with every thought of ‘will they listen?’ or ‘are they there?’ you know. But I shake it off by having people around me who motivate me and remind me who I am.”
Discussing his typical workday, Realfly Dp states, “A typical day for me when working on a new project involves looking through my beats to see what I can put together. Whether I’m at work or at my house, that process could take anywhere from 2 hours to 2 months, lol. After that, I record and master all the songs. Usually, when I’m in tape mode, I’m focused on that and that alone, besides my child, of course.”
When asked what advice he would give to fellow aspiring artists, Realyfly Dp shares, “The best advice I could give to someone who is also up and coming like myself is to be your first biggest fan. Be your first believer. Be your first supporter. If you truly have a gift, you have to believe it’s a gift more than anyone else. Otherwise, others will tell you your gift isn’t a gift. And drop your music. You don’t know which songs will hit because you are scared to release them, thinking they are not good. You might not know what is good in other people’s ears.” Realfly Dp’s journey highlights the importance of self-belief, dedication, and persistence in the creative process. He emphasizes that while the path may be filled with uncertainty, surrounding oneself with motivating influences and trusting one’s instincts are essential for growth and success.
