Rising Artist ATM Daz on Overcoming Challenges and Staying Motivated in Music

Emerging artists face countless hurdles on their journey to success, and ATM Daz is no exception. From financial struggles to personal setbacks, he has navigated the challenges of pursuing a music career with resilience and determination. ATM Daz opens up about his experiences and offers advice to fellow musicians.
ATM Daz reflects on the obstacles he has encountered, stating, “Some challenges I have faced in my journey are like financial struggles from the crib, trying to stay motivated while losing friends and family. But all I can say is that you just gotta move forward; you can’t look back or dwell on the past. You can’t pick up broken pieces of a broken mirror. All you can do is turn it into fuel—let it be your drive, your motivation—rather than letting it bring you down. You make your best work when you’re going through something, when you’re feeling pain. So I turn that pain into fire and keep going. I don’t stop. Even if I don’t make it, at least I can say I tried instead of wondering what could have been.”

On his creative process, ATM Daz shares, “For me, when I’m working on a new project, it’s about getting the weed, getting the blunts, and if you drink, having that too—just vibing out and watching me do my thing. I won’t lie; I might make a song a day or even two songs a day. I work a lot, making my music on the go. I’ll be at work writing my songs, so by the end of my shift, the song I’m working on will either be done or halfway done. Then, when I go to the studio, I’m ready to lay down my vocals. Sometimes I freestyle the second verse if I didn’t finish it earlier. But other than that, I’m just a chill dude.”

Even as an upcoming musician himself, ATM Daz offers guidance for others aspiring to break into the industry. He states, “A piece of advice I would give to up-and-coming artists trying to break into the industry is: don’t give up, keep going, stay consistent. Don’t worry about who doesn’t f*** with your music, because your music isn’t for everybody to like. Just know that your music will find its crowd as long as you keep going and keep pushing. That’s what I have learned and noticed, and I wish I had never stopped back in 2015. Even if you don’t have a big audience, even if you just start with one subscriber, keep going, because over time, that effort adds up.” ATM Daz’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance, self-belief, and turning challenges into motivation. He demonstrates that success is not only about talent but also about resilience, consistent effort, and an unwavering dedication to one’s craft.
